The Delta Life Development Center, Inc was incorporated in 1998 in Georgia as a
501(c)(3) organization for the purpose of providing enriching activities and opportunities
for low-to-moderate income persons through educational development and outreach
programs that impact and enhance the well-being and quality of life.

Why This Event Matters

- Over 50% of women experience hair loss by age 50

- Lack of education around wig wear and scalp care

- Cultural stigma surrounding wigs and hair loss in Black communities

- Need for trusted voices, quality education, and positive representation

​With a commitment to enhance the lives of DeKalb County citizens, Delta LDC seeks to host programs and activities that will strengthen the entire family and community. We achieve this goal by hosting programs around financial literacy, tutorials, reading comprehension activities and book giveaways.

Is a curated event designed to empower women with the knowledge and confidence to wear wigs, maintain healthy scalps, and embrace beauty on their own terms. 

MISSION

The mission of the Delta Life Development Center is to enrich the lives of low-to-moderate income residents in DeKalb County, GA through the educational awareness programs, economic development and empowerment initiatives, and civic responsibility and engagement efforts of the community at-large.
